Active noise cancellerThe built-in effective noise canceller can reduce background noise by up to 90% when receiving and up to 30% when transmitting.

10W AF power, megaphone and foghornThe IC-M423GE features a 10-WNF amplifier that boosts AF signals for playback through additional external speakers. The megaphone function allows announcements to deck personnel or to other vessels, and the foghorn sound can also be output through external speakers.

Built-in Class D DSCThe built-in DSC monitoring function observes activity on channel 70 (DSC channel) even while receiving on another channel. Otherwise, the usual DSC functions of this class are available.

Built-in GPS receiverThe built-in GPS receiver shows your current position, date / time and can be used for DSC calls. The included GPS antenna eliminates the need for complex connections to other GPS data sources and gives you the flexibility to choose the location for a good reception signal.

Optional COMMANDMIC ™ HM-195GB with white backlight.With the optional COMMANDMIC™, you can conveniently operate the IC-M423GE from a second call station. All functions of the IC-M423GE can be controlled from the COMMANDMIC™ and it can be used as an intercom to the IC-M423GE.
